SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas at San Antonio announced that all of its classes on Tuesday, Jan. 21 have been canceled due to the upcoming hard freeze.
In a news release, UTSA said the spring semester will now start on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

For students who plan to march with UTSA’s delegation in the 38th-annual MLK March on Monday, the university said any updates on possible location changes can be checked here.

Only employees with essential job functions are required to report to work on Tuesday, while others, including student workers, should work remotely where possible, the university said.
The main campus shuttle, The Runner, will not operate on Tuesday.
Here’s a list of places UTSA said will be closed on Tuesday:
- The Student Union south building, (including the food court) and the H-E-B Student Union
- Campus Recreation
- Recreation Field Complex
- Downtown Fitness Center
- The Rowdy Campus Store
- The Roadrunner Pantry
- The Campus Services and UTSACard office (Staff will monitor the campus' voicemail and there will be assistance available through email).
- Garage cashier stations will be closed, but pay stations and pay-on-phone options will be available.
