To earn the award, educators go through an application process to demonstrate their knowledge and ability to adapt to a broad range of learners and teaching environments.
From there, a panel of mathematicians, scientists and educators on the state and national level assess the nominations and will then send recommendations to the White House.
Aboueisha was recognized for her educational contributions and impact on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. She is one of 336 recipients of the 2025 PAEMST award nationwide.
