BCSO searching for missing 40-year-old man with medical condition

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 40-year-old man with a medical condition.

Ramon Guadalupe Avila Jr. was last seen on Dec. 18 of last year after he was dropped off around Interstate 10 and UTSA Boulevard.

The sheriff’s office said Avila Jr. asked a family member to pick him up at a store on De Zavala Road. However, they could not find him.

Avila Jr. contacted his family approximately a week later from an unknown number to check in, but they haven’t heard from him since, BCSO said.

Avila Jr. is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 220 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

According to BCSO, Avila Jr. was last seen wearing a black jacket, faded white jeans, and brown-colored Vans shoes.

Avila Jr. is usually around the Converse area.
