About the Fiesta Flambeau Parade

The Fiesta Flambeau Parade is a dazzling celebration that has earned its place as the crown jewel of Fiesta San Antonio.

Its origins date back to 1948, when Reynolds Andricks, a civil engineer and visionary, proposed a lighted night parade. Inspired by the illuminated Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, Andricks envisioned a unique event that would reflect the culture and spirit of San Antonio.

Over 200 parade entries will travel the 2.6-mile route through historic downtown San Antonio, viewed by more than 750,000 street spectators and 1.5 million viewers via broadcast and live stream. The parade’s brilliance and grandeur have garnered international acclaim, including recognition as “Best in the World” and “Best in Texas.”

A Moment of Pride for McCollum High School

The selection of the Cowboy Marching Band as the honor band highlights the talent and hard work of McCollum’s students and staff. It also underscores the importance of celebrating and uplifting local communities.

Congratulations to the McCollum High School Cowboy Marching Band! We can’t wait to see you illuminate the Fiesta Flambeau Parade with your passion, music, and Cowboy pride.
