Far northwest Bexar County home destroyed in fire, officials say

No injuries were reported

A home in far northwest Bexar County was destroyed after a fire, Bexar Fire and Rescue officials said Tuesday.

Calls for the fire came in just before 7:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of Spiller Road.

Crews initially had trouble with water pressure due to the closest fire extinguisher being far from the fire. As a result, another truck was brought in to pump water, a fire chief at the scene said.

One person inside was able to get out safely, and the home was destroyed.

The fire chief said that the cause of the fire was not clear. No other homes were affected.

A user on KSAT Connect posted two videos of the flames seen from a nearby roadway. Fire crews can be heard and seen responding to the blaze.
