3 residents displaced after fire damages Northeast Side home, SAFD says

Fire believed to have started in a garage, but official cause is under investigation

SAN ANTONIO – Three San Antonio residents were displaced after a house fire on the Northeast Side, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the 9600 block of Moraga Drive, near I-35 and Wurzbach Parkway, around 3:45 a.m. Thursday.

Two to three people were in the home when the fire started, but everyone was evacuated safely, SAFD said.

Officials said the fire started in the garage, and the house suffered heavy damage. However, an official damage estimate is unclear.

The cause is unknown at this time, the fire department said.

This is a developing story. KSAT will provide updates as more information becomes available.
