Man found dead by his father in far west Bexar County, BCSO says

Authorities said the man suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead by his father in far west Bexar County, according to the sheriff’s office.

A man in his 30s was found dead with a gunshot wound to his upper body around 3:15 p.m. Monday in the block of 14000 Gunsight Pass, BCSO said.

Upon arrival, deputies briefly detained the father of the man found dead, the sheriff’s office told KSAT.

However, BCSO confirmed that the father was notified to check on his son before the deputies arrived on the scene.

Calhoun County authorities detained another person potentially connected with the incident who was described as being in a common-law relationship with the victim, according to BCSO.

This is an ongoing investigation. KSAT will update this article as more information becomes available.
