Five families displaced after apartment fire in Live Oak, officials say

No one was injured; a cause remains under investigation

LIVE OAK, Texas – Five families are displaced after an early morning fire ripped through an apartment complex, according to the Live Oak Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived at the apartment in the 14000 block of Oak Meadows around 2 a.m. to find visible flames from a balcony door.

While crews quickly extinguished the flames, damage to the building was severe.

No one was injured; however, five families were displaced, officials said.

Crews were working with the apartment building’s management and the American Red Cross to get the affected families taken care of.

It is not immediately known how the fire started. A cause remains under investigation.
