Party City locations expected to stay open in San Antonio despite closures nationwide

The party is NOT over in the Alamo City

SAN ANTONIO – Party City stores in San Antonio are still open despite recent announcements from the Party City corporate office that stores nationwide are closing.

On Friday afternoon, CNN reported Party City’s “CEO Barry Litwin told corporate employees... that Party City is ‘winding down’ operations immediately.”

KSAT went to the North Side Party City to find a sign on the entrance door that said the party is not over.

“Party City San Antonio locations are independently owned and operated and will not be affected by the closing of corporate locations,” the sign stated.

There are four Party City locations in San Antonio. The sign on the store at Highway 281 and Bitters Road said the San Antonio stores will remain open.

The sign also stated the stores will not price match any online offers or coupons through the Party City website.

In addition, the sign stated that the San Antonio stores cannot offer refunds on products bought online, only exchanges.

“Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. We look forward to continuing to supply party goods to you, our loyal customers,” the sign stated.
