Family shares Thanksgiving with Air Force Trainees for 49th annual Operation Home Cooking

SAN ANTONIO – An annual JBSA-Lackland Thanksgiving tradition returned for its 49th year on Thursday.

The event allows local families to share Thanksgiving with U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training trainees who are away from home during the holidays.

This year’s trainees are in the sixth and seventh week of basic training, including graduating airmen without visiting family and friends for graduation.
