Victims of apparent double murder-suicide in Stone Oak identified

Benjamin Keller, 25, shot 60-year-old woman, 59-year-old man before turning gun on himself, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified three people who were the victims of an apparent double murder-suicide in Stone Oak.

According to a preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department, officers responded to a call for a shooting around 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 17900 block of Winter Hill.

The report said that 25-year-old Benjamin Keller shot Brian J. Keller, 59, inside the home. Benjamin then followed Yolanda Keller,60, outside of the residence and shot her. Benjamin then shot himself, police said.

Yolanda was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two men were critically wounded and later died at a hospital.

Police said the three victims were family members who lived in the home but didn’t specify their relationship.
