The Fiesta Flambeau Association on Wednesday announced the theme and logo for its 2025 parade.
“Our 2025 theme is Deep in the Arts of Texas. We’re going to be featuring and promoting all of the arts in Texas. Culinary, sculpture, painting, literature, anything to do with arts, we’re going to promote it this year,” said Flambeau Association President James Fenimore.
The logo includes some of the arts that people may see on a road trip across the state, including the Quinta Mazatlan in McAllen, the Vaquero sculpture in El Paso, the Friendly Cowboy Western String Band in Lubbock, the “Dandelion” fountain at Buffalo Bayou Park in Houston, sandcastles in Corpus Christi and El Trompo in downtown San Antonio.
Organizers plan to announce their poster contest online on Thursday.
The Fiesta Flambeau Parade is known as America’s largest illuminated night parade. Last year’s parade featured 168 entries including 68 floats, bands and dance groups and was watched by more than a million people in person and on KSAT’s broadcast.
The association works on the parade year-round. Organizers said they wanted to announce the theme early to make sure people have plenty of time to make plans for next year.
“Our event today, in announcing it we will be letting our float builders and the poster artists, and everyone else. the dance teams so that people can start thinking about our theme and get their floats and their bands ready to join us in our parade on May 3, 2025,” Fenimore said.
Fiesta may be nine months away, but you can relive some of last year’s memories.
