SAN ANTONIO – Rise Inspire Academy senior Zachary Combs and his classmates organized a festival on Saturday dedicated to educating people on the dangers of fentanyl.
Combs and other students recovering from substance abuse called the event “F.E.A.R. Fest.”
“F.E.A.R.” stands for fentanyl education awareness and recovery.
Combs said he hopes his story of recovery can inspire others.
“Going from somebody who was using drugs every day and having, really, no hope to speaking in front of an audience and sharing my story. It really helps with my recovery,” Combs said. “I know it really helps the people around me, too.”
