According to police, the woman was driving with a female passenger when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole.

Police said the passenger was able to get out, but the driver became pinned inside. That’s when, police say, emergency crews cut her from the vehicle.

The female driver was taken by EMS to an area hospital as precaution with non-life-threatening injuries. Her name and age have not been released.

SAPD said some people in the area lost power as a result of the crash. It is unclear if power has returned.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all answered the call.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
