He did not report the arrest to San Antonio Fire Department administration, leading to the policy violation.

Dyba, who is temporarily suspended without pay, will serve the 10-day suspension if he returns to the department, an SAFD spokesman confirmed.

SAFD policy requires employees who are arrested, charged or indicted to immediately notify department leadership.

Dyba also left work Nov. 4, days after his arrest, without notifying anyone, another violation of department policy.

Dyba is scheduled to be arraigned in Comal County on Jan. 7, court records show.
