Mall Santa Claus replaced for saying Hillary Clinton on naughty list

10-year-old girl's mother reports incident to mall management

SANFORD, Fla. – A Santa Claus at a mall in Florida has been relieved of his duties after a woman claimed that he told her child that Hillary Clinton was on his naughty list.

The mother told Seminole Towne Center management that she took two of her children to see Santa on Tuesday night.

She said that when her 10-year-old daughter told him what she wanted for Christmas, he told her that she was on his nice list.

The girl told her mother that he asked her, "Do you know who is on my naughty list? Hillary Clinton." The girl said he laughed.

The girl's mother called management, and a representative told WKMG-TV in Orlando that mall officials called the company that hired Santa.

WKMG-TV learned that the company is The Noerr Programs, Inc., which provides Santas to malls around the country. A spokesman said the Santa at Seminole Towne Center said he thought it was a joke, but when the woman called to complain, management removed him from the mall floor.

Spokesman Charlie Russell said his company apologized to the girl's family.

Russell also said the Santa was sent to human resources counseling.

Russell said he didn't know if the Santa would return to his duties.

WKMG-TV on Wednesday night found a replacement Santa waving to shoppers and waiting for someone to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
