Leah Rodriguez is no stranger to intense summer heat and brief "winter" weeks. She was born in San Antonio and grew up in Pearsall, Texas. Leah watched KSAT just about every day, as her mom would turn the news on before and after school, and even on weekend mornings. She landed her dream internship with KSAT during the summer of 2023, and now, Leah is proud to join the team of KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologists in June 2026.
Leah realized she had an interest in the weather after being caught in a baseball-sized hail storm with her dad while driving home from elementary school. Her passion for meteorology flourished at Texas A&M University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in 2024. She will also graduate with her Master's Degree in Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST) from Texas A&M in 2027.
Leah is excited to return to the San Antonio area after working in Lubbock at KLBK for two years. Outside of work, you may catch her around town shopping with her mom or enjoying all the best Tex-Mex spots. She also enjoys taking her rescue dog, Luby, out for walks and car rides.
