FORECAST
We tied the record high temperature (98°) in San Antonio today, and it’s not going to change much in the days ahead. Plan for afternoon highs between 96° and 99°.
A few brief showers bubbled up this afternoon, and tomorrow will be similar. While most of us will be dry, there’s a slight chance a football game or two faces a rain/lightning delay.
UNRELENTING HEAT
While the heat high will be suppressed for a day or so, any front or rain chance is likely staying north of our area. That means it’ll stay hot and humid. We continue to wait for our first front of the season.
FIRE UPDATE
The massive wildfire that broke out near Sonora grew yesterday and is now nearly 9,000 acres, and ass of this evening, it’s 50% contained. Another fire near Rocksprings also grew to 1,500 acres and is 50% contained. Fire conditions should improve tonight as humidity levels increase.
