Gang-affiliated suspect charged with murder in fatal West Side shooting, police say
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have tracked down the suspect in a shooting that left one man dead in his car on the West Side. Francisco Miranda, 31, is facing a murder charge. The shooting happened last Thursday in the 300 block of South San Augustine Avenue. Police say Miranda held someone at gunpoint and forced that person to drive Miranda away from the scene. Witnesses were able to help officers track down Miranda, and he was arrested Friday morning.

San Marcos police make arrest after first murder of 2021
SAN MARCOS, Texas – San Marcos police arrested a 59-year-old man connected with the murder of a 33-year-old man at a local hotel. Officers were called to the Econo Lodge Hotel and found a man dead inside one of the rooms on Tuesday night. An investigation led officers to the suspect, Melvin George Nicholas Jr., and an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest, police said. An autopsy report from the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office is pending in the case. Police say this is the first homicide in San Marcos in 2021.

Man arrested, charged in murder of 23-year-old on Christmas Eve, police say
SAN ANTONIO – A man is now behind bars after San Antonio police say he’s responsible for a murder that happened on Christmas Eve. According to an arrest affidavit, 42-year-old Adara Christopher Davis has been charged in the death of 23-year-old James Anthony Vargas. A witness told police the suspect arrived at the home with a baseball bat and accused Vargas of stealing from him. The suspect was later identified as Davis and he was taken into custody. San Antonio police seeks help finding suspects in double-murder case
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspects wanted for the murders of Vanessa Mujica and Kyle Warren. Police said Mujica and Warren were shot during an apparent drug transaction and later died from their injuries. The suspects were last seen fleeing the scene in a four-door, dark-colored Acura TL toward Timber View Drive, according to officials.
