LULING, Texas โ A nonprofit organization dedicated to finding missing people will restart its search for a Texas State student who has not been seen since December. Starting Friday, Texas Search and Rescue โ known as TEXSAR โ will commence on a large search for Jason David Landry, 21. Landry was involved in a car crash near Luling that happened around midnight on Dec. 14, according to the Caldwell County Sheriffโs Office. TEXSAR officials said more than 100 members will be involved in this search, including a search and rescue K9 team and a mounted search patrol. LULING, Texas โ The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is continuing their search for a Texas State student who disappeared following a car crash near Luling, Texas. According to a department spokesperson, the crash happened at around midnight Monday morning. Law enforcement officers found a crashed vehicle near Salt Flat Road north of Interstate 10, but do not know how the incident occurred. Officials are still trying to locate the victim who they believe may be Jason David Landry, 21, a Texas State University student. A university spokesperson confirmed that DPS would be handling the case.

CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas โ An Austin man who fired more than 50 rounds at two teens on a Caldwell County road Tuesday told police he was being chased by โaliens,โ according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Caldwell County Sheriffโs Office (CCSO) received a 911 call around 6:08 p.m. on Tuesday about two victims โdown." Bryan Haynes, 34, was arrested Thursday on capital murder charges after he told family members in Austin that โhe was being chased by โaliensโ in an ATV with firefighter decals,โ the affidavit states. Hanes allegedly told family members Tuesday evening that โthe โaliensโ would not die and he had to shoot them in the middle and head area to make sure they would die,โ the affidavit says in part. Haynes is being held in the Caldwell County Jail.

The cousins were driving a Polaris side-by-side utility vehicle in the 4400 block of Tenney Creek Road near Tilmon when they encountered the shooter or shooters, deputies said. Caldwell County Sheriffโs Office received a 911 call around 6:08 p.m. on Tuesday about two victims โdown." The case is under investigation by the Texas Rangers and the Caldwell County Sheriffโs Office.
