KSAT and Firstmark Credit Union surprised Linda Rodriguez, a fourth-grade teacher at Ladera Elementary School in Medina Valley Independent School District, with the Educator of the Month Award.

KSAT and Firstmark Credit Union surprised Katy McLemore, a second-grade teacher at Windcrest Elementary in the North East Independent School District, with the KSAT Educator of the Month Award for December.

As the school year comes to a close, KSAT is honoring one final standout educator who has made a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond.

This month, we are recognizing Felix Lopez, the head custodian at Southwest Legacy High School. Lopez has been taking care of the school and the students in the Southwest Independent School District for almost 30 years now.

While the term “jackpotting” sounds like it should be a win, it’s actually costing local banks and other ATM owners tens of thousands of dollars.

Wesley Bauerschlag is known on the Holmgreen Center campus as “Mr. B.” he’s also known for his hard work and dedication to the students there.

Every month during the school year, KSAT has been recognizing educators, who have been nominated by you — our viewers.

An annual teacher Thanksgiving drive is dedicated to helping local educators have food on the table during the holidays.

Elyssa Fields, a special education teacher at Langley Elementary School, is KSAT’s October Educator of the Month. She works with students from three to five years old.
