San Antonio’s Arts & Culture Department and the city’s film commission are celebrating a jump in MovieMaker Magazine’s “Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker.”

The San Antonio Film Commission, a division of the city’s Arts and Culture Department, has named a successor to former commissioner Kim LeBlanc.

As conversations in the Texas Legislature continue about padding the state’s existing film incentives package, discussions at the local level are hitting the road.

The filming of 1923, the spinoff of the hit show Yellowstone, downtown will have some onlookers craning to get a glimpse of any stars who might be on the temporary San Antonio set. For locals in the film industry, this project is an opportunity.
