As several water storage tanks have emptied over the day, and some water main breaks have occurred, the system pressure loss has triggered a boil water notice for water that is utilized for human consumption. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes, city officials said. Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the notice.

The announcement came from city leaders on Saturday, who said a total of 1,200 doses of the vaccine are scheduled to arrive next week. Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly said the county has proven through a regional flu clinic that the county has the capacity to vaccinate 1,000 to 2,000 people per day. AdKerr County residents can also check on the availability of vaccines in Fredericksburg for the coming week. The Kerrville VA Medical Center has also been vaccinating veterans with an โassignmentโ who are 65 and older.

Facility staff also failed to properly track how often patients were being bathed, records show. One resident told investigators she had not been bathed in a month. AdInvestigators instructed facility staff that more attempts needed to be made to bathe residents before documenting them as refusals.

Retired Houston police officer fatally shot by neighbor in Kerr County, sheriffโs office says
The Kerr County Sheriffโs Office is investigating what led up to the fatal shooting of a retired Houston police officer who lives in a gated Kerr County neighborhood. At the scene, deputies found Mart Hanna, the 68-year-old retired police officer, who was fatally shot. The man who shot him was identified as Kenneth Brown, a 71-year-old retired U.S. Customs Officer, according to the news release. The Kerr County Sheriffโs Office has called in the Texas Rangers to assist in the investigation. No arrests were made in the case on Monday and the investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriffโs office.

Carjacking suspect arrested in Kendall County following violent encounters with victims, law enforcement officers
But law enforcement authorities said Jerry Gardner, of Cedar Park, didnโt give up easily. Gardner was involved in a violent series of encounters, beginning at a gas station in Midland, where the carjacking occurred Friday night, the Kerr County Sheriffโs Office said. Gardner then struck a customer who tried to intervene in the carjacking before taking off on Interstate 10. Gardner then ran toward a Kendall County deputy and the suspect was shocked with a Taser, the KCSO said. After a brief struggle, he was arrested and taken to the Kerr County Jail, where he is being held on bonds from six charges totaling $528,500.

After a man died at a San Antonio nursing care facility in April, a Kerrville man who faced aggravated assault charges is now charged with murder, according to the Kerrville Police Department. Alexander Scott Haley, 35, was indicted on murder charges Monday by a Kerr County grand jury shortly after Louis Earl Vaughn died. Man assaulted relative and threatened her children while โlooking for pillsโ at Converse home, affidavit saysโVaughn was the victim of an assault that occurred on July 10, 2019, near the boardwalk area west of the Schreiner One Center," police said in a news release. โVaughn had remained unconscious since the assault in which he suffered severe injuries to his head.โHaley has remained in custody since the date of his initial arrest and will now be held on a $250,000.00 bond, according to the news release.

Kerrville man who pleaded guilty to cyberstalking, possession of child pornography sentenced
SAN ANTONIO โ A Kerrville man who pleaded guilty to cyberstalking and possession of child pornography was sentenced to prison Thursday, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas. Christopher Zamarripa, 46, was sentenced to 460 months, or more than 38 years, in federal prison, officials with the attorneyโs office said. On Aug. 15, Zamarripa pleaded guilty to ten counts of cyberstalking and one count of possession of child pornography. Zamarripa uploaded to the same online pornographic websites unaltered images of two child victims, officials said. Officials said a subsequent forensics analysis of the laptop revealed the presence of child pornography.
