The San Antonio Police Department found a dead dog stuffed inside a suitcase on the East Side over the weekend.

Residents in a Northeast Side community said approximately 100 tires have been illegally dumped in their neighborhood.

The City of San Antonio's Solid Waste Management Department said it is cleaning up streets and is also pushing for surveillance and education, as well.

More than 100 people have successfully completed the program and received their Commercial Driver's License. Of those graduates, 76 have been hired as full-time employees by the City's Solid Waste Management Department.
