BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Two people were found dead Sunday evening at a home on the far West Side in what the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating as a possible domestic violence-related murder-suicide, Sheriff Javier Salazar said.
Deputies were called to the 14000 block of Confluence Creek at approximately 7:30 p.m. after a witness returned to the residence and found both victims dead from apparent gunshot wounds, Salazar said.
The victims were living together at the newly built home for approximately 10 days, Salazar said, and are believed to be married or in a domestic partnership together.
A non-relative who also lived at the residence told investigators the couple had been arguing earlier that morning. The witness left before 6 a.m. and returned later Sunday evening to find both deceased.
The deaths push the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office’s 2026 homicide total to 18 — already surpassing the agency’s full-year total for 2025, Salazar said.
Eight of this year’s 18 homicides have been classified as domestic violence-related, and Sunday’s case would be the fourth murder-suicide of the year if the medical examiner confirms that finding.
Salazar urged anyone experiencing domestic violence to seek help before a situation escalates.
“Domestic violence is something that doesn’t go away,” Salazar said. “It doesn’t stop happening all of a sudden.”
