SAN ANTONIO – A Northwest Side bakery had to get reinspected this month after Metro Health inspectors found several violations inside, including pests.

Metro Health visited the bakery, located inside the Super Mercado Poco Loco at 6050 Ingram Road, for an inspection on Aug. 24.
The inspection report listed seven different demerits and gave the restaurant a score of 87.
KSAT stopped by on Thursday to find out how those health concerns are being addressed, and found the bakery still had its old score of 93 posted behind the register.
Our crew asked for a manager or owner, and minutes later a woman approached us with a man on the phone who answered our questions.
The report said there was one live pest on the floor behind a refrigerator, and a dead pest in the back left area of the bakery.
The man told KSAT the bakery has pest control.
KSAT asked about several food items that were not the right temperature, according to the report. If food that is supposed to be cold is above 41 degrees for more than four hours, the Metro Health report said it has to be thrown away immediately.
“(The report) noted queso fresca, sour cream,” explained KSAT reporter Daniela Ibarra. “Basically, if it’s not at the proper temperature it could grow bacteria and make people sick. What are you doing to make sure that doesn’t happen again?”
The man replied that he did not think queso fresco was used in bakery items.
The man also said it’s why the bakery tried to comply with Metro Health’s requirements, including posting the right score. He added that he wants customers to know they try to have the best quality possible.
KSAT texted Metro Health’s spokesperson on Thursday morning, who confirmed the bakery was reinspected on Sept. 3.
