Man shot twice in attempted robbery on West Side, SAPD says

The shooter allegedly wanted the man’s jewelry, according to police

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department said a man was shot twice during an attempted robbery.

After visiting a friend on Wednesday night at an unknown location on the West Side, SAPD said that the man was approached by two other males who wanted his jewelry.

During the interaction, one of the other males pointed a gun at the man and attempted to take his jewelry, SAPD said.

One of the males then shot the man twice in his arm, according to police.

Police said the shooting victim then drove to his home to contact authorities. He was later taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
