Several hospitalized following multi-vehicle crash on South Side, San Antonio police say

Crash reported in the 16000 block of Pleasanton Road

SAN ANTONIO – Several people were taken to the hospital following a head-on crash involving multiple vehicles on the South Side on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash was reported just after 4 p.m. in the 16000 block of Pleasanton Road.

A San Antonio police report said drivers in a white sedan and a gray Toyota Camry were northbound on Pleasanton Road at high rates of speed, apparently attempting to outgain each other.

The Camry veered into opposing traffic, hitting a white Chevrolet Silverado with two people in it and a gray Toyota Rav4 with two people in it. All four people in those vehicles were injured in the crash.

The driver of the Camry had serious injuries, and their passenger also was hurt, police said.

The driver in the white sedan escaped following the crash.

Police are investigating the crash further.
