SAPD said someone at the abandoned business had notified an officer to check on the man.
The man, who appeared to be approximately 62 years old and experiencing homelessness, was later pronounced dead at the scene, police stated.
It’s unclear when the man was killed, SAPD said. The department’s homicide unit is currently investigating.
It does appear to be a possible murder scene, police shared. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the man’s cause and manner of death.
Less than half a mile away over the weekend, SAPD said another male’s body was found. A preliminary report said the body had “visible injuries.” It’s currently unclear how the injuries were sustained.
