The man was heading northbound on Loop 410, and the driver of another vehicle “began following too closely,” SAPD said.

Police said the 40-year-old man then brake-checked the other driver and continued driving.

However, shortly after, the department stated that the man noticed something had struck his upper body.

SAPD said the 40-year-old man exited the highway at Rigsby Avenue while the alleged shooter continued to drive along Loop 410.

The man was later taken to a local hospital with one gunshot wound. The department described his injury as non-life-threatening.
