SAPD: Man accused of fatally shooting 3 people at North Side landscape supply company found ‘down’

SAPD Chief William McManus confirmed the shooting was not random

SAN ANTONIO – A man accused of fatally shooting three people Saturday morning at a North Side landscape supply company has been found “down,” San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.

In a post on X, McManus wrote, “Suspect down. Self-inflicted.”

It is currently unknown if the shooter was pronounced dead or where he was located.

The shooting happened on Saturday morning in the 4400 block of Stahl Road.

During a press conference, McManus told reporters the three victims — two men and a woman — were employees of the company. He also said more people may have been wounded.

While the motive for the shooting is currently unknown, McManus confirmed it was not random.

“We do have a name on the individual, and my understanding is that detectives are applying for possibly applying for a warrant,” McManus said.

McManus previously urged residents to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as the investigation continues.
