SAN ANTONIO – A 14-year-old was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of her 53-year-old stepfather, San Antonio police said.
Officers responded around 6:20 p.m. Monday to the 300 block of Stutts Drive on the East Side of San Antonio.
Police said the girl’s mother called her into a room during a verbal altercation with the girl’s stepfather.
The girl then pulled out a bladed object and stabbed the man, according to police.
Upon arrival, officers found the teenager’s stepfather inside a house on the property with stab wounds to his neck and face area, SAPD said.
Police said the stepfather was pronounced dead on the scene.
The 14-year-old was found inside another house on the property. SAPD told KSAT that she cooperated with the officers.
The teen was taken into custody for charges related to family violence after further investigation. SAPD later confirmed the girl was charged with murder.
