SAN ANTONIO ā The 2021 NCAA Womenās Basketball Tournament is headed to the Alamo City in just over a week. Jenny Carnes, with nonprofit organization San Antonio Sports, joined Leading SA on Sunday to break down the game plan. AdIn 2018, the menās tournament was also held in San Antonio, however, during the current health crisis, the event itself will look a lot different. āWe will not have the same events that we are used to in San Antonio,ā Carnes said. Carnes said she is hoping additional family members and other supporters of the teams head to San Antonio to help support local businesses in the area during the tournament.

SAN ANTONIO The need to maintain a healthy lifestyle hasnt dissipated during the Covid-19 pandemic and local nonprofit San Antonio Sports launched its Stay Active. San Antonio Sports Director of Youth and Community Programs, Mandy Adkins, said the organization wanted to find a way to channel fitness to families sheltering at home. Were actually offering more programming online than we would have been able to offer traditionally during the summer. San Antonio Sports has been making it easy, especially for kids, Chambers said. Stay Healthy resources are located on the San Antonio Sports website with the possibility that an online wellness component will be a permanent part of the online curriculum.
