The Bexar County Commissioners Court has approved a $300,000 grant agreement with the San Antonio Philharmonic to support the organization’s 2024-2025 season.

Although she is no longer physically here, Selena’s influence and powerful music continue to thrive 30 years later through many different mediums. This weekend, her classics will get the symphonic music treatment from the San Antonio Philharmonic.

“Selena Vive” will be performed at the Majestic Theatre on Jan. 3, 4 and 5.

The San Antonio Philharmonic, which was born from the ashes of the San Antonio Symphony in 2022 with some of the same musicians, saw the City of San Antonio and Bexar County set aside a combined $411,000 for its benefit.

The San Antonio Philharmonic has announced its 2024-2025 season and the debut of its new music director.
