The Boerne Champion Chargers have 28 lettermen returning from a squad that went 8-3 last season and advanced to the bi-district round of the postseason.

Boerne Champion sophomore Elizabeth Leachman took second place in the one-mile race at the Nike Outdoor Nationals on Saturday, in preparation for the U.S. Olympic Trials that are taking place this week.

A high school sophomore from Boerne will compete alongside the fastest men and women in the country for a spot on the 2024 U.S. Olympics team.
