Itās why blood drives in the community are so importantā like the one the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center is holding today at Antonian College Preparatory High School. The blood drive is in honor of 2-year-old Amy, who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia. Itās very sad in our community of people that have cancer and need platelets, plasma or whole blood,ā Christy Crawcraft with the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center said. The blood drive today is happening inside the gym on the Antonian campus until 2 p.m.

Bishop Lynch came out on fire and jumped out to a 17-6 lead with a little over 2 minutes left in the frame. The Apaches lost to JPII last season in the state championship, the only blemish on what has been a stellar, three-year run of dominance. So to be able to get the second one tonight, when we missed out on getting it last year, itās just sweet.ā

But even with 17 combined titles since the turn of the millennium, Antonian enters the 2019 TAPPS Cross Country state championships wanting more, and they have the talent to get it done. Another huge benefit for the Apaches is their wealth of experience on the race course in Waco, where the TAPPS Championships have been held in each of the past four seasons. "I know what I have to go out and do to be able to help carry the team," junior Myrella Rodriguez echoed. Antonian will compete in the 2019 TAPPS Championships at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco on Monday morning.
