Stephanie Serna

Anchor/Reporter

Stephanie Serna joined the KSAT 12 News team in November 2009 as a general assignments reporter after spending three years working as a reporter in Austin at KXAN-TV and KEYE-TV.

Stephanie began her career in San Antonio behind the scenes, working as a production assistant and editor at FOX 29. She then moved to Austin, where she worked as a producer and then moved further up Interstate 35 to Waco for her first reporting job.

While at KWTX-TV in Waco, she covered numerous stories of President George W. Bush hosting diplomatic visits by foreign presidents and dignitaries at his ranch in Crawford.

Stephanie made her way back to Austin, where she was one of the first reporters on the scene of a fire at the governor's mansion in 2008. Clips from her live reports were featured at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum as part of a past exhibit highlighting the governor's mansion.

Stephanie, a San Antonio native and graduate of John Jay High School, said she's glad to be back home.

Stephanie is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her degree in Journalism.

Stephanie is an avid runner and completed her first full marathon on Nov. 14, 2010, at the Rock 'N Roll Marathon in San Antonio.

Stephanie also enjoys spending time with her family in San Antonio.
