Tuesday marked Election Day in Texas, but the battle isn’t over for several candidates, including those running in key races.

The 2026 campaign season officially launched Tuesday with close races here in Texas. Here’s a look at how people across the Lone Star State voted.

Tuesday’s midterm elections may not be as headline-grabbing as the presidential election every four years, but the results of this election will have a major impact in the nation’s capital.

Live updates from San Antonio-area and Texas-wide races, including Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Dimmit, Frio, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, La Salle, Maverick, Medina, Uvalde, Val Verde and Zavala Counties

Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller, Land Commissioner, Ag Commissioner and Railroad Commissioner are on the ballot.

U.S. Reps. 15, 20, 21, 23, 28 and 35 are on the ballot.

Races for State Reps. 44, 74, 80, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122 and 125 are on the ballot.

Races for State Senators 19 (Republican) and 21 (Democrat) are on the ballot.

The race for State Board of Education, District 5, is on the ballot.

Bexar County Judge, Bexar County District Attorney and several district judges and courts at law are on the ballot.
