Texas Eats Producer, Videographer, Editor

Benjamin Garison is a producer, videographer, and editor for the top-rated food and travel show in Central and South Texas, Texas Eats with David Elder. Ben joined the Texas Eats team in the fall of 2020.
 
Benjamin's passion for food started early in life. He learned the basics of cooking and family recipes from his mother's kitchen in Pleasanton, Texas, plus he also worked part-time in kitchens from the time he was a teenager. 

He has carried the love of cooking with him throughout his life and continues to cook at home using wild game and locally sourced produce for his wife, Sophia Garison. His love of Texas and Texas history has also been a constant in his life. From an early age, Benjamin would hunt whitetail deer plus fish for trout and redfish with his father in Central and South Texas. He and his wife frequently travel to West Texas and kayak the Rio Grande.
 
Benjamin's passion for photography started early in life. As a child, he would take photos with a 35mm point-and-shoot camera on his family's ranch property in South Texas and has carried a camera with him ever since.
 
Benjamin has honed his craft of story-telling and precision since 2015, starting as a news director and lifestyle director for KSAT 12's SA Live after a college internship with the station. 

He has also directed multiple live televised events, including the SA Rodeo Cattle Drive Parade, Fiesta Specials, plus high-profile interviews with San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Benjamin graduated high school in Pleasanton, Texas, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts with a concentration in Multimedia - Production from the University of the Incarnate Word.
