Before Monday Night Raw took over the Frost Bank Center, two of its stars came through the studio: Joe Hendry and Penta. Penta, who named himself a San Antonio ambassador, put the River Walk at the top of his list of local favorites and said Mexico City, where he faced Roman Reigns for the world heavyweight title, was one of the biggest nights of his life. His stated goal now is the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and he promised a surprise for the crowd. Hendry had news of his own: a new single called “Tables, Ladders and Chairs,” off an album titled “Beyond Belief,” released the same morning.
BEEF LOVING TEXANS SAVORY STICKY BUNS
The “You Gotta Try This” segment took a sweet breakfast staple and flipped it. A registered dietitian with Beef Loving Texans built a savory sticky bun starting with mushrooms, onions and fresh spinach, then a homemade beef sausage seasoned with sage, red pepper, onion and garlic, no extra ingredients required. The filling gets cheese stirred in, spread over refrigerated pizza dough with about an inch of clear edge, rolled from the short end and sliced with a serrated knife. Bake at 425. The finishing touch was a savory cream cheese frosting thinned with milk and a spoonful of hot jalapeno jam. The recipe starts with about a pound of ground beef and serves four to six.
