Leon Valley DPS Mega Center partially reopens after water pipe issues led to flooding

DPS says the mega center is ‘temporarily serving a limited number of customers by appointment’

LEON VALLEY, Texas – The Leon Valley Department of Public Safety Mega Center has partially reopened after water pipe issues last month led to flooding and an unexpected closure.

On Wednesday, DPS said the mega center “is temporarily serving a limited number of customers by appointment as flooding damage repairs remain underway.”

It is still unclear when the building will be back to full operations, DPS said.

Customers can check appointment availability on the DPS website.

The facility shut down abruptly in mid-March due to water pipe issues, forcing the cancellation of numerous appointments.

At the time, DPS Staff Sgt. Dila Hidalgo said the facility at 7410 Huebner Road, which provides driver’s licenses and identification cards, was “closed due to major water pipe leaks that caused flooding inside the building.”
