SAN ANTONIO – Battle of Flowers Parade organizers revealed the theme and medals for the 135th annual parade on Tuesday.
The 2026 parade theme is “From Pages To Possibilities.”
Organizers also revealed the 2026 parade medal, which features two children reading books. The Alamo vine flower was chosen to be showcased on this year’s Texas flower medal.
The following 10 San Antonio-area high schools will participate in the 2026 parade:
Alamo Heights High School
Brennan High School
Clark High School
John Jay High School
LEE High School
Edgewood Memorial High School
Roosevelt High School
Sam Houston High School
Southside High School
Veterans Memorial High Schools
The 10 floats in the public school section represent different book genres with the theme “Where Imagination Blooms!”
On Tuesday, organizers showed renderings for each float:
“Where Shadows Bloom” - Mystery genre
“Victory Garden” - Sports genre
“Once Upon a Petal” - Fairy tale genre
“Garden of Fear” - Horror genre
“A Mythical Reef” - Mythology genre
“Along the Tumbleweed Trail” - Western genre
“The Bloom Beyond” - Science fiction genre
“Stars, Stripes, and Blossoms” - American history genre
“Floral Fantasia” - Fantasy genre
“The Thorns of Forgotten Treasure” - Adventure genre
The 2026 Battle of Flowers Parade is scheduled for Friday, April 24, in downtown San Antonio.
