SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are currently involved in a standoff with a shooting suspect who is barricaded inside of his residence on the West Side. Police were initially called to the scene for a shooting with a hit. After officers arrived, they found the suspect had fired a shotgun at his ex-girlfriend’s house. There were five people inside of his ex-girlfriend’s home at the time shots were fired and one person was hit in the shoulder. Officers said they set up a perimeter outside of his residence and have tried for hours to make contact with him.

He was booked on three felony warrants, including aggravated robbery, unauthorized use and possessing a controlled substance. SAN ANTONIO – Police arrested a man following a standoff after breaking into a West Side home and attacking an 88-year-old man. The attack happened around 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of Southwest 37th Street, police say. Officers said the victim woke up to a man standing over him. The two got into a fight that ended outside the home when family members of the victim who live nearby pushed the attacker away. Investigators say the attacker will receive a mental evaluation before charges are filed.

SAN ANTONIO San Antonio police were involved in a standoff with a man at a far West Side apartment for several hours early Thursday morning. According to police, officers arrived and contacted the man, but could not determine if anyone else was inside the apartment. Authorities say a 29-year-old woman was able to escape the apartment and taken to safety by police. The woman told investigators that she was assaulted by the man, and that he threatened to kill her. She told officers that the man had a rifle and fired the gunshot inside the apartment, police said.

PLEASANTON, Texas – A man is dead after an hours-long standoff with Pleasanton police overnight, according to officials. The incident began around 7 p.m. Saturday night and ended around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the Bonita Creek RV Park in Pleasanton. Upon arrival, police determined it was a domestic violence incident involving a husband and wife. The husband, Gregory Lee Stanford, 54, allegedly fired gunshots at his wife; however, she was not hit and no one else was shot, police said. Eventually, officers made entry into the mobile home and discovered Stanford had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

SAN ANTONIO San Antonio police were involved in a standoff with a man at a SW Side home for roughly an hour late Tuesday night, authorities said Wednesday. Officers were called just before midnight to a home in the 8500 block of Timber Wolf Street, not far from Loop 410 and Old Pearsall Road after receiving reports of a family disturbance. According to police, a man and his mother had been arguing and it was believed that the man had a shotgun. As of now, it is unclear as to how the standoff exactly ended. Police did not say if the man left the house, or if he chose to remain inside.

They had to negotiate through darkness and thick brush along the Leon Creek Greenway to reach him early Wednesday. The incident began around 11:45 p.m. Sunday at the Club at Stone Oak Apartments on Hardy Oak Boulevard, not far from Stone Oak Parkway on the city’s far North Side. That’s when, police said, Summers held hostage a 52-year-old woman and an 8-year-old child, refusing to allow them to leave. Authorities said SWAT negotiators were called and that the woman was ultimately able to get out of the apartment safely by going through an apartment window. A police sergeant said roughly 20 minutes into negotiations with the man he then jumped out of the same apartment window, trying to run from the scene. Neither the woman nor the child held hostage were injured in the incident.

SAN ANTONIO – A standoff between San Antonio police and a local man has ended after he took his own life inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a Northeast Side McDonald’s restaurant early Monday morning. According to police, a relative of the man was able to track his phone and locate him after receiving word he might be suicidal. Authorities said the relative tried to talk to him, but at some point he pulled out a gun and that’s when they called police. Negotiators for several hours tried to resolve things peacefully, but shortly after 6 a.m. the man took his own life. The name of the man killed was not released by police.
