SAN ANTONIO San Antonio police were involved in a standoff with a man at a far West Side apartment for several hours early Thursday morning. According to police, officers arrived and contacted the man, but could not determine if anyone else was inside the apartment. Authorities say a 29-year-old woman was able to escape the apartment and taken to safety by police. The woman told investigators that she was assaulted by the man, and that he threatened to kill her. PLEASANTON, Texas โ€“ A man is dead after an hours-long standoff with Pleasanton police overnight, according to officials. The incident began around 7 p.m. Saturday night and ended around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the Bonita Creek RV Park in Pleasanton. Upon arrival, police determined it was a domestic violence incident involving a husband and wife. The husband, Gregory Lee Stanford, 54, allegedly fired gunshots at his wife; however, she was not hit and no one else was shot, police said. Eventually, officers made entry into the mobile home and discovered Stanford had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

SAN ANTONIO San Antonio police were involved in a standoff with a man at a SW Side home for roughly an hour late Tuesday night, authorities said Wednesday. Officers were called just before midnight to a home in the 8500 block of Timber Wolf Street, not far from Loop 410 and Old Pearsall Road after receiving reports of a family disturbance. According to police, a man and his mother had been arguing and it was believed that the man had a shotgun. As of now, it is unclear as to how the standoff exactly ended. Police did not say if the man left the house, or if he chose to remain inside.

Thatโ€™s when, police said, Summers held hostage a 52-year-old woman and an 8-year-old child, refusing to allow them to leave. Authorities said SWAT negotiators were called and that the woman was ultimately able to get out of the apartment safely by going through an apartment window. A police sergeant said roughly 20 minutes into negotiations with the man he then jumped out of the same apartment window, trying to run from the scene. Neither the woman nor the child held hostage were injured in the incident.

SAN ANTONIO โ€“ A standoff between San Antonio police and a local man has ended after he took his own life inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a Northeast Side McDonaldโ€™s restaurant early Monday morning. According to police, a relative of the man was able to track his phone and locate him after receiving word he might be suicidal. Authorities said the relative tried to talk to him, but at some point he pulled out a gun and thatโ€™s when they called police. Negotiators for several hours tried to resolve things peacefully, but shortly after 6 a.m. the man took his own life. The name of the man killed was not released by police.
