Former Bexar County deputy indicted on charges of tampering with evidence, official oppression
SAN ANTONIO The Bexar County Sheriffs Office announced Thursday that former deputy Brandon Doege was indicted on two counts of tampering with evidence and official oppression. The sheriffs office originally terminated Doege in connection with a May 2019 incident in which he was captured on video assaulting an inmate at the jail. Related: Former deputy faces three charges, Bexar County sheriff saysAccording to BCSO, charges were filed against Doege in July 2019 with the Bexar County District Attorneys Office. On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, we were notified that the Bexar County Grand Jury returned two indictments on the case, BCSO said in a statement. Doege was placed into custody without incident at the Bexar County Satellite Court at 1 p.m. on June 25.

Former deputy faces three charges, Bexar County sheriff says
SAN ANTONIO – A now-former deputy is facing three charges, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said Tuesday. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said Brandon Doege is accused of tampering with a government record. Salazar said Doege was heavy-handed in his force as a SERT deputy and did not activate his body camera during the incident. "What really, really bugged me about it. In a separate case last year, the Medina County Sheriff’s Office opened a shooting investigation involving Doege, who was off duty at the time, and a woman who was shot.
