Diana Winters is an EMMY award-winning producer and journalist who has been with KSAT since 2005. She’s a mother, weightlifter, baker and CrossFit enthusiast with deep ties to South Texas.
The daughter of a Del Rio native and a U.S. Air Force pilot, Diana has lived in and around Military City USA since she was 5. She graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, then attended college at Boston University in Massachusetts. She returned to the Alamo City in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and launched her career at KSAT 12 that fall.
Diana served as a producer on Good Morning San Antonio and the News at Noon for more than a decade. During her time in the news department, she won a Lone Star EMMY award and created KSAT’s South Texas PRIDE series, for which she was named Pride Center Media Icon in 2019. The series earned a GLAAD nomination and helped KSAT achieve status as the only TV station in Texas to earn an “excellent” rating in GLAAD’s Local Media Accountability Index for 2021.
She started as SA Live executive producer in October of 2018 and has been celebrating San Antonio with the city’s number one variety and lifestyle show ever since! Some of her favorite SA Live shows include the Port Aransas summer primetime show, the Halloween specials and the Holiday at the Square special.
