1 dead, 1 injured in crash involving motorcycle on U.S. 281, SAFD says

All southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 281 were closed for hours

SAN ANTONIO – One person died, and another was transported to a local hospital, the San Antonio Fire Department said, following a collision Saturday morning on U.S. Highway 281 that closed all southbound lanes.

The crash happened just before noon near Encino Rio and involved a motorcycle.

It remains unclear what caused the crash of if there were any injuries reported.

Southbound lanes were closed for hours, according to the Texas Department of Transportation, but reopened around 4 p.m.
