New Braunfels river access reopens, safety precautions advised Springfed Pool in Landa Park remains closed
Comal River (City of New Braunfels)
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Recreation access to the Comal and Guadalupe rivers in New Braunfels reopened on Wednesday after flooding over the Fourth of July weekend.
The Comal River flow is currently about 215 cubic feet per second, the City of New Braunfels said in a news release.
While city staff have cleared debris from the river, visitors should remain cautious of submerged debris that may not be visible.
City officials encourage everyone to wear life vests during any water-related activities for safety.
At Landa Park Aquatic Complex, the Olympic Pool and Zero Depth Pool are operating normally. However, the Springfed Pool in Landa Park will remain closed.
