As the economy has shifted in recent years, many households are unable to acquire enough food to meet the needs of all their members because they have insufficient money, according to the USDA.

The CRRC Food Pantry feeds 500-600 people monthly and reported receiving 6,233 visits throughout 2022.

This year’s most needed items included toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, canned stew, chili, cereal, and bread, a news release said.

The Canyon Lake baseball team’s annual food drive helps restock the pantry shelves for community members who need food throughout the year.
