Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Chip Roy in Boerne for ‘South Texas Border Tour’

Republicans to hold a roundtable discussion on impacts of cartels, human trafficking

SAN ANTONIO – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Chip Roy will kick off a border tour on Tuesday with a roundtable discussion in Boerne.

The event, which starts with the discussion at 9:30 a.m., will be livestreamed in this article.

Local officials and advocates will also take part in the discussion. They are expected to discuss the impact crime, cartels and a surge in immigration can have on Central Texas.

Besides Cruz and Roy, the discussion will feature:

  • Jaeson Jones, Former Texas Public Safety Captain and Current Director/CEO of Omni Intelligence
  • Nicole Bishop, Kendall County Criminal District Attorney
  • Alma Tucker, Founder and President of International Network of Hearts
  • Virginia Krieger, Angel Mom and Founder of Parents Against Illicit Narcotics
